“Outlaw X” was founded in 2007 by “Maze featuring Frankie Beverly” Bassist and Musical Director, Larry Kimpel - Bass and Lead Vocals; Steve Lukather Band Member, Ricky “Z“ Zahariades- Guitars, Vocals; Jazz Crusaders Musical Director, Billy Steinway – Keyboards, Organ; and Timothy B. Schmitt/ Tom Jones Drummer Extraordinaire,
Herman Matthews – Drums, Vocals.
To tell you the truth, the band was actually born out of a need to ease a huge frustration within each of its members. The guys all had a burning desire to have their own music heard by the masses. So with that in mind they set out to put together an absolutely memorable collection of music for blues and roots music fans everywhere. And they have accomplished their goal in fine fashion with “Out of the box”. Collectively the guys have a staggering amount of combined professional musical experience and many Gold and Platinum CD performances to their credit as session players with other artists. With all that being said, Blues / Roots Music fans all over the world are about to be treated to something truly special. “Outlaw X” has got a sweet and spicy recipe and they can’t wait to start cookin’ for you!
